Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist for Home Care at Dynamic Strength Physical Therapy

Work Environment

This role requires an onsite presence, as you will visit patients in their homes throughout the Dulles area. You'll work independently and make critical decisions that affect your patients' recovery while being part of a supportive team committed to achieving the best outcomes for patients. Flexibility is key, as you will have the autonomy to choose your working hours throughout the week, with available shifts from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients in their home environments to assess their physical therapy needs, diagnosis, and progress.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that address individual goals, incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities such as exercise, hands-on techniques, and state-of-the-art equipment.
• Implement treatment sessions that may include strength training, balance exercises, pain management strategies, and mobility enhancement techniques.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, including treatment responses and any changes in the patient's condition to ensure continuity of care.
• Adjust treatment plans based on regular reevaluations and patient feedback, ensuring that therapeutic goals evolve in line with patient recovery.
• Advise on and fit patients with assistive devices as necessary, providing thorough training to patients, caregivers, and family members on usage for daily living activities.
• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops, participating in training opportunities, and contributing to team meetings.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with a diverse patient population in home settings, ranging from pediatric to geriatric clients, each with unique therapeutic needs. This hands-on experience allows you to develop a holistic understanding of individual recovery paths and fosters deeper patient relationships.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and engage with patients and their families.
• Proficient in computer skills for maintaining patient records and documentation.
• A proactive, flexible approach to patient care and problem-solving, with the ability to adapt to various home environments.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience in physical therapy is not required, any clinical internship experience or exposure in home care settings is valuable.
• Experience with assistive technology and equipment is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
