Position Overview

True North Medical Institute is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sports Physical Therapist (DPT) to join our dynamic Orthopedic & Sports Outpatient Clinic in Boulder City, Nevada. In this full-time role, you will be pivotal in alleviating pain and restoring function for athletes of all levels, from amateur weekend warriors to professional competitors. You will utilize your expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation to develop personalized treatment plans that enhance performance and facilitate recovery.

Work Environment

Set in the scenic backdrop of Boulder City, our full onsite rehabilitation center is designed to motivate both staff and patients. You will engage regularly in interdisciplinary team meetings and actively collaborate with orthopedic physicians, athletic trainers, and performance coaches, ensuring a cohesive approach to patient care. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing you to achieve a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biomechanical evaluations and movement assessments to identify functional deficits.
• Implement manual therapy techniques and develop progressive, evidence-based rehabilitation programs tailored to individual athlete needs.
• Perform advanced return-to-play testing and facilitate sport-specific training protocols to ensure a safe transition back to activities.
• Collaborate effectively with athletic trainers and orthopedic MDs to analyze treatment progress and adapt rehabilitation plans as necessary.
• Educate athletes on injury prevention strategies, recovery techniques, and long-term mobility improvement to promote sustained athletic wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse patient population, including high school athletes, collegiate sports participants, and professional athletes. Your role will focus on tailored rehabilitation programs that address specific injuries such as sprains, strains, post-surgical recovery, and overuse syndromes, all while providing emotional support and motivation to encourage optimal performance enhancements.

Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) and an active license in the State of Nevada (or eligibility to obtain one).
• A strong passion for sports medicine, biomechanics, and implementing evidence-based rehabilitation practices.
• Proficiency in manual therapy, therapeutic exercise prescription, and functional performance training methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills, with a strong athlete-first mindset that prioritizes the wellbeing of each patient.

Preferred Experience

• Certification as a Sports Clinical Specialist (SCS) or Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in collegiate or professional sports rehabilitation is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with innovative techniques such as blood flow restriction therapy, dry needling, and sports technology tools including force plates and motion capture systems will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes:
