Better You Mental and Wellness Center is seeking a Senior Mood Disorder Therapist to join our dedicated team of mental health professionals. This full-time remote position offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful work centered around assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients struggling with mood disorders, including depression and anxiety-related conditions. Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining accountability to our clients and team. Work hours are typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening and weekend shifts on a rotating basis. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.

• Collaborate with clients to craft personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients navigate and manage their conditions effectively.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and coping strategies to enhance their understanding and involvement in the therapeutic process.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and adherence to therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, primary care providers, and other mental health professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care for our clients.

• Stay informed of the latest research and clinical practices in the field of mood disorders to continually enhance therapeutic effectiveness.

• Maintain confidential and accurate documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings, contributing to the collective knowledge and skills of the practice.

• Act as an advocate for your clients, working to de-stigmatize mental health issues and promote healthy coping mechanisms within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals grappling with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Our diverse clientele reflects the rich tapestry of the Springfield community, and the ability to connect with clients from various backgrounds is critical to achieving successful therapeutic outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies for mood disorders, such as CBT and DBT.
\n
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacological treatments and effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish rapport across a diverse client base.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience specifically addressing mood disorders is highly preferred.

• A proven track record of effective treatment outcomes in managing mood disorders.
\n
• Experience with electronic health record systems for documentation and billing is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
