Key Responsibilities\n \n Conduct individual therapy sessions in clients' homes or group therapy sessions within our outpatient center, ensuring safe and therapeutic environments. \n Provide specialized support for anger management and coping strategies, guiding youth to develop essential social skills and mitigate high-risk behaviors. \n Assist caregivers in enhancing their decision-making abilities to effectively manage behavioral challenges in the home environment. \n Collaborate consistently with Child Family Treatment Teams and other professionals to ensure a cohesive support system for youth and their families. \n Accurately complete and submit all required clinical documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, in a timely manner. \n Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights and recommendations regarding patient care and overall program development. \n Patient Population / Client Focus\n Our client focus centers on children ranging from ages 3 to 20 who are living with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Working with this diverse population requires creating individualized treatment plans that resonate with both the children and their families, addressing their unique needs while promoting their strengths. We aim to build strong therapeutic relationships that foster trust and collaboration. Qualifications\n \n A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field is mandatory. \n Possession of an active and unrestricted LMFT license is a requirement. \n Flexibility to provide therapy during after-school hours (4-7 PM) is essential, with weekend availability considered a strong asset. \n A valid New Jersey driver's license and access to a registered vehicle for travel to client homes are necessary. \n Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required. \n Preferred Experience\n \n Experience working with children and youth aged 3-20, specifically those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, is highly beneficial. \n A background in behavior support methodologies and therapeutic interventions tailored to managing high-risk behaviors is preferred. \n Experience providing family therapy and facilitating parent workshops would be advantageous. \n Compensation and Benefits\n This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 60,000 to 80,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
