Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms, using standardized tools and clinical interviews.

• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, setting specific goals and preferred therapeutic approaches.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address clients' unique needs effectively.

• Provide ongoing education to clients and their families about mood disorders and treatment approaches, enhancing their understanding and engagement in the therapeutic process.

• Continuously monitor clients' progress, adapting treatment plans as needed to support their evolving mental health needs.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach, sharing insights and recommendations for medication management for optimal client care.

• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation for all sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in professional development activities, including workshops and training sessions, to stay abreast of advances in mood disorder treatments and enhance clinical skills.

• Actively participate in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and collaborative care.

• Advocate for a destigmatized understanding of mental health issues within the community.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing a range of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. This role requires a compassionate approach, as you will interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds, each with their unique circumstances and challenges.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
\n
• Proven expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly for mood disorders.
\n
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology and collaboration with psychiatrists and medical professionals.
\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling the cultivation of strong therapeutic relationships with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, experience in telehealth or remote therapy practices will be an advantage. Familiarity with electronic health record systems is desirable as well.
