Position Overview

Family First Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) to join our team. This full-time position is ideal for an experienced orthopedic professional ready to enhance the quality of life for our patients by providing tailored therapy solutions. Located in the vibrant community of Orlando, Florida, Family First Physical Therapy is a private, therapist-owned practice with a commitment to excellence in patient care. Our state-of-the-art facility spans over 5,000 square feet and is equipped with the latest advancements in sports medicine. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality outpatient orthopedic services primarily to patients with private medical insurance. Our team currently consists of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that prioritizes patient outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our outpatient office in Orlando. You will be part of a close-knit team that prioritizes personalized care in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The clinic is designed to facilitate an efficient workflow, allowing therapists the capacity to focus on delivering effective interventions while ensuring a positive experience for our patients. Our standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, promoting a work-life balance while still meeting the needs of our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patients' specific goals, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
• Manage a caseload of patients by providing one-on-one therapy sessions, ensuring that you meet the needs of each individual.
• Create and implement effective treatment plans using a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to address the distinct needs of your patients.
• Employ evidence-based practices and cost-effective treatment strategies to improve patients' range of motion and mobility, while also reducing reliance on medications or surgical interventions.
• Motivate and support patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering a positive and encouraging environment.
• Document patient progress meticulously, reviewing treatment outcomes and making adjustments as necessary to enhance recovery.
• Engage in collaborative care by consulting with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You will work closely with a diverse range of patients, each with unique challenges and rehabilitation requirements. By implementing customized fitness and wellness programs, you will empower patients to reach their personal health goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid state license to practice physical therapy in Florida.
• Impeccable professional history, free of any board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise protocol development.
• Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) software, particularly WebPT, is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist specifically in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse patient population and adapt treatment plans to individual needs.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to USD 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
