Lead Software Engineer, Platform (Corporate)

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with at least 5 years of applied experience
• Experience in cloud security and engineering
• Proven end-to-end backend delivery experience, including system design, development, testing, deployment, and production operations
• Strong proficiency in Java, Python, or Go for building services and automation
• Cloud-native engineering experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience implementing security, audit, and compliance controls in regulated environments
• Hands-on experience with Jenkins CI/CD in enterprise delivery environments
• Solid SDLC execution, including secure coding, test strategy, release governance, and operational support
• Production experience with Kubernetes and workflow orchestration
• Ability to lead cross-functional delivery and mentor developers, with a focus on secure and resilient engineering
• Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools for activities such as coding, code review, test acceleration, and troubleshooting, including setting expectations for validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations; experience coaching engineers on safe, compliant adoption
• Preferred: Experience delivering and operating security and compliance solutions, with familiarity in cloud-native security services
• Preferred: Experience with policy-as-code and infrastructure-as-code, such as Terraform and cloud policy frameworks
• Preferred: Experience building event-driven architectures and telemetry pipelines for control evidence and compliance reporting
• Preferred: Experience integrating third-party security and compliance products into enterprise platforms
• Preferred: Knowledge of financial-services regulatory and technology risk frameworks

• Design and deliver multi-cloud security and continuous compliance solutions across Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Translate regulatory and policy requirements into technical controls, measurable KPIs and KRIs, and engineering roadmaps
• Build automation for preventive, detective, and corrective controls, including validation, evidence capture, exception handling, and remediation
• Implement audit-ready observability and traceability across services and delivery pipelines, including logs, metrics, lineage, and reporting
• Write maintainable, high-quality production code in Python or Go, and contribute to Java components where needed for integration or platform requirements
• Engineer workflow orchestration for control execution, exception processing, and remediation across cloud and platform systems
• Build and optimize Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, including DevSecOps quality and security gates
• Integrate enterprise systems and APIs, including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, identity and authentication platforms, and cloud provider services
• Lead reliability and security engineering practices through code and architecture reviews, standards, complex incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, and maintenance of architecture documentation, ADRs, operational runbooks, and control implementation standards
• Evaluate and integrate third-party tools, and guide responsible adoption of enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering with validation for correctness, security, performance, resiliency, and data handling
• Encourage team adoption of approved AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, including code review, refactoring, test planning, and incident analysis support
• Establish consistent validation standards for AI-assisted work, including secure coding, peer review, and automated testing, and promote effective reusable practices across the team
• Apply knowledge of SDLC toolchain capabilities, including approved AI-assisted development and automation tools, to increase the value of automation
