Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Empower Well Health Care Center, you will:

• Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to clients, effectively assessing and addressing their emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Maintain accurate and timely records, including clinical notes and progress documentation, in accordance with departmental policies, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate actively with physicians and other healthcare team members to communicate client progress and to strategize treatment plans that reflect best practices in mental health care.
\n
• Engage in the development of comprehensive treatment and discharge plans tailored to each client's unique needs, based on thorough psychosocial assessments and accepted intervention methodologies.
\n
• Build working relationships with leaders in community resource groups, and represent Empower Well Health at relevant meetings and committees, addressing the broader social needs of our patient population.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your clients will consist of individuals from varied backgrounds, each facing unique challenges related to mental health and substance use disorders. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse demographic, understanding their individual needs and developing tailored therapeutic approaches. This role not only focuses on immediate emotional support but also strives to empower clients through education and skill-building to navigate life challenges effectively.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
\n
• One of the following independent licenses: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
\n
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating effective counseling techniques and successful client outcomes.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working in a community health setting and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) will be highly regarded. Additionally, knowledge of resources available within the Long Island community to support clients' needs is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
