Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and evaluations to develop tailored therapeutic strategies for clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique circumstances.

• Provide individual, group, family, and couples therapy sessions utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficiency.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate client care and ensure holistic service delivery.

• Engage in continuous professional development by participating in relevant workshops and training, staying current with mental health research and best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will work with a diverse population that includes individuals and families from various socioeconomic backgrounds, many of whom may experience barriers to accessing quality mental health care. You will address a broad spectrum of mental health issues, from anxiety and depression to trauma and substance misuse, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.

• At least two years of counseling experience, preferably in a clinical setting, working directly with clients in therapeutic capacities.

• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice.
