This role will be predominantly remote, allowing you to engage with patients and colleagues from the comfort of your home, while still having access to the resources of our community health clinic in Dallas. We believe that flexibility enhances work-life balance, and we offer a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some adaptability to meet patient needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories, which will inform personalized treatment approaches.

• Develop and put into practice individualized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery and resilience-building techniques.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions like Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) during patient sessions.

• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions to facilitate a safe space for patients to process their trauma, foster coping strategies, and encourage healing.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other cross-functional professionals to provide an integrated approach to patient care, ensuring comprehensive support.

• Provide crisis intervention and immediate emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, always maintaining a calm and supportive atmosphere for patients.

• Educate patients and their families regarding trauma responses, effective coping mechanisms, and available community resources to enhance their recovery journey.

• Maintain accurate and confidential patient documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities focusing on best practices in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals affected by trauma, including veterans, survivors of abuse, and people experiencing displacement or loss. These patients often face challenges such as PTSD, anxiety disorders, deep emotional distress, and complex trauma responses. Understanding their unique backgrounds and experiences is crucial in providing the best therapeutic interventions and fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas is essential.

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, preferably within trauma-informed care environments.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
