Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing flexibility for the social worker to manage their schedule effectively while delivering high-quality care. However, you will be primarily embedded in a school setting, working closely with students who are their family members’ caregivers, to address intergenerational issues and promote family stability. Your typical work week will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening or weekend hours based on client needs. Your schedule will require adaptability to accommodate client visits and emergency interventions.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments of seniors’ psychosocial needs, exploring emotional, mental, and social dimensions to develop comprehensive care plans.

• Collaborate with clients and their families to create personalized care plans, ensuring individual goals and preferences are central to the approach.
\n
• Provide empathetic counseling and emotional support to seniors and their families, assisting them through life transitions such as adjusting to retirement or managing health changes.
\n
• Advocate for clients’ rights and facilitate access to community resources, empowering clients to receive the necessary support and services they need.
\n
• Work alongside interdisciplinary teams, including educators, healthcare providers, and caregivers, to enhance the overall care plan and well-being of clients.

• Conduct regular check-ins to monitor clients’ well-being, evaluate living conditions, and address any emerging safety concerns.

• Facilitate healthy communication and conflict resolution among family members involved in the senior client’s care.
\n
• Educate clients and their families about available support groups, community resources, and activities that foster social engagement and improve quality of life.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation of client interactions, assessments, and progress notes to ensure continuity of care and compliance with ethical standards.

• Stay updated on best practices in social work, particularly concerning aging and community service policies to provide the most effective support.

The primary focus of this role is on seniors who may face various psychosocial challenges. You will engage directly with older adults and their families, addressing issues such as mental health, social isolation, and navigating the complexities of aging. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution required.

• Current and valid social work licensure (LMSW) in the state of Florida.

• At least two years of experience in a social work capacity, preferably with a focus on seniors or in a community center environment.

• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation and Benefits\n
