Work Environment\n

This remote position allows for flexibility while maintaining a focus on the school-setting framework. Our collaborative approach integrates technology and communication platforms to support continuous interaction with students, families, and school staff. Full-time hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with potential occasional evening or weekend hours to accommodate client needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ psychosocial needs, considering factors such as emotional health, family dynamics, and academic performance.

• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with students and families, addressing issues like behavioral challenges, emotional stress, and social integration.
\n
• Provide direct counseling and emotional support to students facing challenges in their personal lives or academic settings, facilitating coping strategies and resilience.

• Work closely with educators, school counselors, and healthcare providers to coordinate services and support systems, ensuring a holistic approach to student well-being.

• Advocate for access to resources, programs, and services that enhance student academic performance and personal development.
\n
• Conduct regular follow-ups and monitor progress; adjust care plans as necessary based on the evolving needs of students and families.

• Facilitate communication among family members and school staff, helping to mediate conflicts and promote understanding.

• Educate families and communities about available resources, workshops, and support groups that can assist students in achieving their goals.

• Maintain accurate records of assessments, progress notes, care plans, and interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on students and their families within the educational setting. You will be directly addressing the unique socio-emotional challenges that come with adolescence and developmental transitions. The ideal candidate will be adept at establishing trust and rapport with both students and their families, fostering an environment conducive to open dialogue and support. Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Active and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience, ideally within a school, community center, or geriatric setting.

• Strong grounding in social work principles as well as issues affecting youth and seniors.

• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and communication skills, enabling effective dialogue with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Expertise in effectively utilizing technology, including electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about changes in social work practices and regulations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Optimum Care Counseling offers a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
