Work Environment

This is an onsite position located in Alexandria, Virginia, where you will work directly with a diverse patient population. Our rehabilitation center is equipped with advanced technology and resources, creating a comprehensive environment for promoting patient recovery. The work schedule is structured from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, allowing for a balanced professional life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized care to patients, focusing on their unique rehabilitation goals and needs, ensuring optimal outcomes.
• Maintain a manageable patient caseload that allows for thorough assessments and effective treatment sessions.
• Leverage your expertise in orthopedic care to deliver high-quality treatment, utilizing your prior experience to enhance patient outcomes.
• Implement cost-effective treatment modalities aimed at improving clients' movement and mobility, with an emphasis on non-invasive strategies.
• Emphasize non-surgical alternatives to minimize patients' dependency on medications throughout their recovery journey.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that incorporate various techniques such as manual therapy, exercise prescription, and patient education.
• Tailor fitness and wellness programs that meet patients' personal requirements, promoting their long-term health and well-being.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions and continually evaluate their effectiveness to make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Encourage and motivate patients during their rehabilitation process, fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere.
• Enhance patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through targeted rehabilitation exercises.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for each patient.
• Continuously monitor patient progress, documenting treatment outcomes diligently to maintain comprehensive patient records.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population at Ascove Fitness and Rehab consists primarily of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and sports-related ailments. Our dedicated approach ensures that each patient receives tailored treatments aimed at speeding up recovery while enhancing mobility and preventive care for future injuries.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is mandatory.
• An active Physical Therapist license in Virginia is required, with no history of sanctions or board proceedings.
• Strong proficiency in a variety of manual therapy techniques and a solid understanding of exercise science.
• Expertise in creating and executing effective exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, for accurate and efficient documentation.
• Staying up-to-date with physical therapy techniques and practices, ensuring adherence to evidence-based standards.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is highly preferred.
• Experience working with a diverse patient demographic and understanding cultural competency in treatment.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize specialized therapeutic modalities and tools to enhance rehabilitation efforts.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
