Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients’ trauma histories and formulate appropriate treatment plans.

• Design, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans focusing on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate holistic healing.

• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions, assisting clients in processing their trauma and developing effective coping mechanisms.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Offer crisis intervention support during emergent situations, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and resourceful under pressure.

• Engage with patients and their families, providing education about trauma responses and available community resources for additional support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Stem Psychological Center, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced various forms of trauma. Our clientele includes adults struggling with PTSD, those facing complex trauma challenges, and individuals with dissociative disorders. Your role will be crucial in providing a safe space for them to explore their experienced trauma and develop strategies for coping and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience is preferred, with a demonstrated focus on working with trauma-affected populations.
