Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial consultations and detailed mental health evaluations, documenting each case meticulously from the first point of contact through to discharge.

• Develop targeted intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups to meet their mental health needs effectively.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques to address client needs.
\n
• Regularly monitor each client's progress, adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving mental, behavioral, and emotional health metrics.
\n
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
\n
• Wear a referral management hat when required, connecting clients with external resources and services that complement their treatment plans.
\n
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in addressing and managing the mental health challenges faced by their loved ones.
\n
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in mental health practices and technologies, employing best practices and ethical standards in every aspect of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing various mental health challenges. Common issues include anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems, as well as various addiction and co-occurring disorders. Our focus is on holistic care which encompasses not only mental health but also the connection between physical health and emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Possession of current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California is required.
\n
• Completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) with a passing score.
\n
• At least two years of experience in a mental health counseling position is preferred.
\n
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, preferably AVATAR, for effective documentation and client management.
\n
• Familiarity with relevant best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Possess a strong understanding of both psychological principles and the efficacy of prescribed medications.
\n
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for collaboration and documentation.
\n

• Expertise in dealing with underlying physical and emotional disorders, alongside addiction issues.
