Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Ortho Care, you will work onsite in patients' homes, allowing you to directly assess and cater to their unique needs. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and restoring or enhancing function through evidence-based practices.
• Supervise and guide physical therapy assistants during their delivery of prescribed services to ensure consistent and effective patient care.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, using diagnostic testing to inform treatment strategies.
• Assess the home environment to facilitate rehabilitation, making recommendations that promote patient independence and safety.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and hands-on therapy techniques, and instruct patients in non-manual exercises tailored to their rehabilitation needs.
• Perform evaluations and adjustments for assistive devices, ensuring optimal fit and functionality.
• Keep detailed clinical records, including initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary case conferences, collaborating closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss care plans and patient progress.
• Educate patients and families about physical therapy processes and advocate for their involvement in all aspects of their care.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including clinical notes and administrative paperwork, in accordance with branch policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with orthopedic patients ranging from post-operative recovery to chronic pain management. You will engage with diverse demographics, including older adults needing mobility assistance and younger patients rehabilitating from sports injuries, providing treatments that respect their individual capabilities and lifestyles.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid physical therapy license in California, in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Compassionate patient-centered approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience in an acute care or home healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in assessing and treating orthopedic conditions, with a strong focus on patient outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient treatment plans and outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
