Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and screenings tailored to the unique needs of students, employing tools such as symptom checklists and structured interviews.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, using approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to help students manage their emotions and behaviors effectively.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including school psychologists and educators, to ensure a comprehensive mental health care approach for students, facilitating regular meetings to discuss student progress and care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary patient population for this role consists of children and adolescents attending local schools. You will engage with diverse backgrounds and mental health concerns, ranging from anxiety and depression to behavioral issues and learning disabilities. Your work will focus on developing resilience and coping strategies for students while addressing the stigma often associated with mental health challenges in a school environment.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) .

• A Bachelor's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred for more advanced roles.

• At least 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, specifically working with children or adolescents.
