Work Environment

The role is based onsite at our outpatient facility, designed to facilitate a friendly and healing atmosphere. Our clinic is equipped with the latest therapeutic equipment and technology, enabling our therapists to deliver effective treatment to a diverse patient population. You'll enjoy a structured work schedule, operating Monday to Friday, with shifts available from 9 AM to 5 PM or 8 AM to 4 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to develop individualized treatment plans based on medical history and therapy goals.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to manual therapy, active and passive exercise regimens, gait training, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation.
• Guide patients through muscle re-education exercises and aid in activities of daily living to ensure continuity in care.
• Educate patients and their families about care plans, self-management strategies, and preventive care practices, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged in rehabilitation.
• Communicate regularly with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians and support staff, to ensure a cohesive approach to treatment and optimize patient outcomes.
• Track and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with each patient's evolving needs.
• Stay updated with the latest physical therapy practices by participating in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will serve a varied patient demographic, primarily consisting of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our focus is on enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and restoring functional movement, which makes it essential to establish trust and rapport with our patients to ensure their engagement in the recovery process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Active and valid State Physical Therapy license.
• At least one year of clinical experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with a focus on orthopedics.
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Strong clinical assessment abilities to deliver tailored interventions that align with best practices.

Preferred Experience

• Additional certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy is highly desirable.
• Experience working in an outpatient clinic setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
