Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed assessments to understand and evaluate clients’ symptoms of mood disorders, assessing severity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients to establish individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals, preferences, and circumstances.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate recovery.

• Provide educational resources and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout their therapeutic journey, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to meet evolving needs.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other health professionals to ensure a coordinated and comprehensive care approach.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research in mood disorder treatment methodologies and mental health practices.
\n
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement in clinical care.

• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders, striving towards destigmatization and accessibility of mental health resources.

Qualifications\n

• A valid mental health license in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage Family Therapy, or an equivalent field.

• Proficient knowledge of California Laws and Professional Ethics governing mental health practice.

• Clear current background check through the FBI and DOJ.
\n
• Verification of a recent TB Test (within the last 6 months).

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with clients who have learning disabilities, behavioral issues, and social/emotional disorders.

• Familiarity with telehealth systems and best practices for remote therapy.

• Demonstrated passion for working in addiction treatment settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Heartlight Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, reflecting both experience and expertise.
