Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough intake assessments for clients, ensuring that their unique needs are understood and addressed through individualized treatment plans.

• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings, addressing various issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship dynamics, and more.

• Engage in continuous professional development by attending workshops and training sessions to stay abreast of current best practices within the field.

• Collaborate closely with external providers, including primary care physicians and other specialists, to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to client care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Elysian Fields, you will work with a diverse clientele struggling with a range of emotional difficulties. Your clients may include children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing life transitions, trauma, or chronic mental health issues. The nature of telehealth enables you to connect with clients from various backgrounds across the South Bethlehem area, fostering a broad understanding of community-specific challenges and resilience factors.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of two years of experience providing direct mental health services to clients facing diverse emotional challenges.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to quickly build rapport and trust with clients while maintaining ethical boundaries.

• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is an advantage but not required.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in group therapy facilitation, multi-disciplinary collaboration, or specific therapeutic methodologies (such as CBT, DBT, or mindfulness-based therapies) is advantageous.
