Key Responsibilities\n

• Utilize strong diagnostic and clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse client population.
\n
• Provide crisis management interventions as necessary, ensuring client safety and support.
\n
• Employ various evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychodynamic Therapy, adapting your approach to meet individual client needs.

• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation through an electronic medical record (EMR) system, supporting seamless communication with case management and other healthcare providers.
\n
• Offer compassionate and non-judgmental care, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship with clients from various backgrounds.
\n
• Facilitate weekly or biweekly follow-up sessions, engaging clients in ongoing treatment planning and behavior modification strategies.
\n
• Monitor client progress using data-driven methodologies to ensure effective treatment outcomes and make necessary adjustments to therapeutic plans.

• Flexibly adjust your clinical approach based on patient preferences, demonstrating responsiveness to their evolving mental health needs.

• Contribute to a collaborative team environment by actively participating in case discussions and sharing best practices with colleagues.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to Major Depressive Disorder (MDD), Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), trauma-related issues, and grief. As a mental health counselor at Sunshine Sanctuary, you will play a crucial role in helping clients develop effective coping strategies and achieve better mental health outcomes through personalized therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
\n
• Possession of a valid state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in accordance with Washington state regulations.
\n
• Experience working with a variety of mental health disorders, demonstrating familiarity with diagnoses including MDD, anxiety, trauma, and grief.
\n
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing interruptions and competing priorities effectively.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering rapport with clients and collaboration with colleagues.
\n
• A clean professional background with no history of medical malpractice claims.
\n
• Authorization to work in the U.S.

• Direct experience providing remote therapy services via telehealth platforms.
