Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth client assessments to develop individualized therapy strategies tailored to meet specific needs.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short therapy.

• Facilitate therapeutic sessions for individuals, couples, families, and groups, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate clinical records in accordance with legal and ethical guidelines while ensuring clients’ confidentiality.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to devise comprehensive treatment plans focusing on integrated mental health care and wellness.

• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and conferences, to continuously update your knowledge and refine your skills in the ever-evolving field of mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will encompass working with a diverse range of clients experiencing various challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and substance misuse. Our client population is reflective of the broader community in Potomac and surrounding areas, promoting inclusivity and understanding in treatment approaches. This position caters to both adult and adolescent clients, requiring a thoughtful and skilled response to varied mental health needs.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maryland.

• A minimum of two years’ experience in a counseling role, preferably within a clinical setting.
\n
• Proficiency in conducting individual and group therapy sessions using various therapeutic modalities.

• A deep understanding of legal and ethical standards relevant to the practice of mental health counseling.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport with a diverse clientele.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience and/or specialization in areas such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse interventions is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to apply innovative therapeutic techniques effectively while remaining adaptable to client needs.

• Previous experience working in a telehealth environment is beneficial, given the remote nature of this position.
