Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments during initial examinations and thoroughly review existing medical records to provide holistic care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as laboratory blood work and X-rays, to evaluate patient conditions accurately.
• Diagnose urgent health concerns and develop tailored treatment plans for both acute conditions and chronic diseases, integrating a proactive approach to health management.
• Prescribe medications as deemed appropriate while closely monitoring patient responses and adjusting medication regimens as needed.
• Maintain meticulous and organized patient records, ensuring accurate documentation of encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, preventive health measures, and wellness strategies to empower them to make informed health choices.
• Champion overall health by promoting lifestyle modifications and preventative practices to enhance patient quality of life.
• Engage in continuous professional development initiatives, including attending workshops and relevant training to stay updated on industry best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our urgent care facility caters to a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors who require immediate or prompt medical attention. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program is required, along with a Master's degree in a relevant field.
• A valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) in Maryland is a must, along with an active DEA number.
• Demonstrated experience as a Physician Assistant in an urgent care, clinic, or hospital environment is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of patient care protocols and healthcare regulations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective interactions with patients and interdisciplinary teams.
• A strong ethical compass and a commitment to patient-centered care are fundamental.

Preferred Experience

Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in urgent care or emergency medicine. Familiarity with electronic health record systems, patient management software, and standard diagnostic procedures within an urgent care context is preferred. Although bilingual skills are advantageous, they are not required.

Compensation and Benefits
