Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions as well as group therapy in an outpatient setting, utilizing evidence-based practices to address emotional and behavioral challenges.

• Facilitate anger management workshops, coping skills development sessions, and social skills training to support clients in reducing high-risk behaviors, such as self-injurious behavior or physical aggression.
\n
• Enhance the decision-making abilities of youth and caregivers in managing in-home behavioral challenges, thereby fostering healthier interactions and improved family dynamics.
\n
• Engage collaboratively with the Child Family Treatment Team and other multidisciplinary professionals, ensuring a well-rounded approach to treatment planning and delivery.
\n
• Accurately document all client interactions and treatment plans adhering to clinic guidelines and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely submission of intake forms, progress notes, and recommendations.

• Participate in monthly team meetings, contributing insights that aid in refining clinic practices and enhancing client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with a diverse cross-section of children aged 3-20, specifically targeting those with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children facing various behavioral and emotional difficulties, fostering their growth and resilience through tailored therapy programs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field.

• Active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Florida.
\n
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in providing therapeutic services, with a focus on youth and families.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week primarily during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with potential for weekend sessions.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are essential for in-home visits.
\n
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in positive behavior support strategies relevant to children and teens.
\n
• Previous experience working directly with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n
