Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, where you will perform house calls, allowing you to engage with patients in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed physical examinations, comprehensive medical histories, and the interpretation of diagnostic tests specific to pain management.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team that address both acute and chronic pain conditions.
• Prescribe appropriate medications, administer treatments, and continually monitor and evaluate patient responses to adjust care plans as necessary for optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies, including non-pharmacological approaches such as physical therapy or holistic techniques.
• Provide essential counseling and emotional support to patients coping with chronic pain, fostering resilience and improving their quality of life.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care that integrates mental health support and pain management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Patient Population includes a diverse demographic, primarily focusing on adults suffering from chronic pain conditions, post-operative pain management, and acute pain relief. You will work with patients who have varying needs—from those requiring palliative care to individuals seeking rehabilitation after injury. Your ability to tailor treatments based on individual patient circumstances will be pivotal in their recovery and overall satisfaction with the care provided.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, with a focus on advanced practice nursing.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, ideally specializing in pain management or a related field.
• Strong clinical reasoning skills and an in-depth understanding of pain management modalities and therapies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective patient engagement.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
