Work Environment

The Nurse Practitioner will work onsite exclusively within a school environment, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals. This position operates on a full-time schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, fostering a balanced work-life approach. Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Nurse Practitioner in our Pain Management Center include:

• Collecting patients' medical histories and performing thorough physical examinations as directed by the supervising physician.
• Conducting independent follow-up visits as per the organization’s Incident II guidelines, ensuring continuity in patient care.
• Updating patient records to reflect accurate information during each appointment, while utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Evaluating diagnostic test results to determine the necessity for additional follow-up visits or treatment modifications.
• Collaborating with the supervising physician to develop individualized care plans, recommending effective treatment modalities based on patient assessments.
• Maintaining high-quality care delivery in alignment with productivity metrics established by the clinic.
• Educating patients continuously regarding their conditions and treatment options, providing guidance for home care and self-management strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses primarily on patients experiencing various pain management challenges, particularly within a school setting. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for assessing and treating a diverse patient demographic, including children and adolescents, which requires a compassionate approach and an understanding of unique pediatric pain management needs.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing or Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited institution.
• An active and valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in pain management or performing physical examinations.
• Proficient knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and electronic practice management systems.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, primarily Word and Excel.
• Excellent clinical skills combined with strong interpersonal and organizational abilities.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment demonstrating resourcefulness and proactivity.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience working in a collaborative team environment or those with a specialty in pediatric care will be favored. Familiarity with innovative pain management techniques and evidence-based practices is also advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
