This position operates in a remote setting, enabling our therapists to balance their professional and personal lives effectively. The work schedule aligns with standard business hours, Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring you have evenings and weekends free for personal pursuits. Key Responsibilities\n

Your responsibilities as a Mental Health Therapist will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to gauge the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.

• Working collaboratively with clients to formulate individualized treatment plans that reflect their unique goals and preferences.
\n
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

• Providing education to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, effective coping strategies, and available treatment options.

• Monitoring client progress throughout the treatment process, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and comprehensive care.

• Staying informed of the latest research and developments in the field to apply best practices in treatment.

• Maintaining accurate and confidential documentation of all client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans according to legal and organizational standards.

• Participating in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development to enhance your clinical skills.

• Serving as an advocate for clients, working to de-stigmatize mental health issues and promote their well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related disorders. Our clientele is diverse, reflecting a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. Your ability to provide tailored support will directly contribute to their mental health journeys, helping each client move towards improved emotional resilience and well-being.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatments for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate effectively with psychiatrists and other medical professionals.

• Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
