Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments through preliminary interviews and document clients' progress from the outset to the conclusion of their treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health using both standardized tools and clinical judgment.
\n
• Develop tailored intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that they align with established therapeutic goals.
\n
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions, both individually and in groups, employing evidence-based methodologies to foster engagement and healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress meticulously by conducting regular check-ins and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff to ensure comprehensive care.
\n
• Manage referrals and follow-ups, ensuring that clients receive necessary support throughout their treatment journey.
\n
• Assist and educate family members and primary caregivers to better understand and mitigate mental health challenges.

• Proactively identify and intervene in behaviors that may hinder recovery, promoting a holistic approach to mental health maintenance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients reflect a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and other mental health issues. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will be tasked with understanding their unique needs and implementing appropriate strategies that drive positive outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within California.
\n
• Successful completion of qualifying exams, such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Prior experience in the mental health counseling field, demonstrating a solid foundation in therapeutic practices.
\n
• Competency in utilizing electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Knowledge of integrated mental health and addiction treatment, as well as familiarity with the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, alongside strong interpersonal abilities.
\n
• A genuinely compassionate and empathetic demeanor that fosters a trusting therapeutic relationship.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in conducting group therapy sessions or workshops focusing on mental health education.

• Background in working with clients experiencing co-occurring disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and their implementation in clinical interventions.

• Demonstrated experience in mentoring or supervising junior therapists.

Compensation and Benefits\n
