Primary Duties Process invoices for payment, verifying accuracy of items billed. Review open purchase orders and contact proper school or department secretary concerning purchase activity. Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain relationships with vendors. Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process. Exercise confidentiality in financial reporting. Comply with State and Federal guidelines. Efficiently manage a high volume of invoices and maintain accurate records. The employee will be required to perform any other clerical duties requested by the supervisor. Qualifications High School diploma, with a background in bookkeeping and/or accounting preferred. Strong clerical skills, including organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality. Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and courteously with the public both orally and in writing. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word. Terms of Employment 12 months, 7 1/2 hours per day (8:00 am to 4:00 pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch). $26.95 after successful probationary period.
