Work Environment

This position is onsite, offering the unique opportunity to work in diverse home environments rather than a traditional clinical setting. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to establish targeted treatment goals.
• Design and implement individualized treatment programs within the guidelines of physician orders and clinical best practices.
• Document all patient interactions accurately and succinctly to maintain comprehensive records of evaluations, treatments, and progress reports.
• Maintain oversight of Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and support staff to ensure effective delivery of patient care.
• Engage with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to coordinate and adjust care plans as needed.
• Provide educational resources and support to patients and families, enhancing their understanding of therapeutic exercises and progress tracking.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients encompass a diverse population, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions such as arthritis and neurological disorders. Your expertise will play a vital role in enhancing their functional abilities and overall well-being, catering to a range of ages and physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Virginia.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in computer usage for documentation and patient management.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience in a physical therapy setting, preferably with a focus on home care.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and patient management systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
