Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with patients to assess their physical conditions, identifying symptoms and areas for improvement.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions by evaluating the patient's physical capabilities, utilizing assessment tools such as goniometers and manual muscle testing.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques, continually adjusting based on patient progress.
• Instruct patients on the proper use of therapeutic exercises, ensuring they understand the techniques to enhance effectiveness and prevent injury.
• Provide physical therapy interventions, such as massage, electrotherapy, or other modalities, to facilitate the healing process.
• Assist patients in using rehabilitation equipment, like wheelchairs or walkers, ensuring maximum functional independence.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records, documenting goals, progress, and any changes in treatment plans for future reference.
• Educate patients and their families on at-home treatment options and exercises to uphold therapy benefits outside the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physical Therapist will cater to a diverse population ranging from children to seniors facing various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Each therapist is encouraged to utilize their specialized knowledge to customize care based on individual diagnoses, from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management.

Qualifications

• A Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state of Florida.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer skills for maintaining documentation.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist is required, we value candidates with prior experience in diverse settings or specialties. Familiarity with community-based resources and a focus on patient-centered care will be considered assets.

Compensation and Benefits
