Key Responsibilities

• Implement personalized treatment plans that aim to improve, restore, and maintain patients' physical functions in alignment with their specific orthopedic conditions.
• Oversee the activities of physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective implementation of individualized care plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical capabilities using advanced diagnostic tools that assess muscle, nerve, and joint functionality.
• Assess patients' home environments to provide feedback and recommendations that maximize rehabilitation effectiveness and foster independence.
• Deliver physical therapy services as prescribed by physicians, employing manual and non-manual therapeutic exercises tailored to each patient.
• Utilize various modalities such as traction, massage, and the application of physical agents to optimize treatment outcomes.
• Evaluate and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, making necessary recommendations for modifications in consultation with physicians.
• Participate in developing, reviewing, and updating comprehensive care plans in conjunction with interdisciplinary team members.
• Document all clinical interactions meticulously, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, and ensure timely submission to maintain accurate clinical records.
• Engage in case conferences as a vital member of the care team to discuss patient progress and strategize on optimal treatment routes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding appropriate use and care of physical therapy devices and therapies.
• Ensure your availability to assist and guide physical therapy assistants during their client interactions.
• Complete other duties as assigned to support the overarching goals and objectives of Premier Physical Therapy.

Qualifications

• A graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• A valid state PT license and current CPR certification are essential.
