Work Environment

This position is onsite and primarily patient-facing, located in residential settings across Virginia Beach. You will enjoy the flexibility of a work schedule that allows you to choose your hours between Monday and Friday, enabling you to balance work and personal commitments effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients to identify their needs and establish effective treatment plans.
• Employ various therapeutic techniques, including exercise, manual therapy, and advanced rehabilitation modalities, tailored to each patient's condition and goals.
• Monitor and document patients' progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their responses and evolving needs.
• Educate patients, caregivers, and family members on treatment protocols, home exercises, and the correct use of assistive devices to enhance recovery.
• Participate in regular interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and share insights with fellow clinicians and healthcare professionals.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices by engaging in continuing education opportunities and professional networking.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse range of patients, from young children to older adults, who are recovering from injuries, surgeries, or chronic illnesses. Your role will directly impact their quality of life by helping them achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain their functional independence.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program with a valid state license to practice in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and team members.
• Proficient in using technology for documentation and patient management, including electronic health records.
• Adept at working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in physical therapy is not required, candidates with experience in home health care or rehabilitation settings will be at an advantage. We especially welcome new graduates who seek mentorship to enhance their professional expertise.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
