Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop comprehensive treatment plans for patients referred by physicians, focusing on individualized recovery strategies and measurable outcomes.
• Implement effective therapy sessions across various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine, ensuring tailored care for each patient's unique needs.
• Provide educational support and training to patients and their caregivers to enhance their understanding of the rehabilitation process and empower them in their recovery journey.
• Utilize clinical assessments and standardized tools to measure patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, always aiming for maximum functional improvements.
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient interactions, adherence to treatment protocols, and progress toward therapeutic goals to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress, share insights, and enhance overall treatment approaches that drive effective patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our services cater to a diverse patient population, enabling you to work with individuals of all ages and varying clinical conditions. You will engage with orthopedic patients recovering from surgery or injury, pediatric clients with developmental needs, neurologic patients dealing with disorders such as stroke or spinal cord injuries, and athletes needing rehabilitation for sports-related injuries. Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• Current state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster a strong rapport with patients, caregivers, and team members.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills, including documentation software and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is highly preferred.
• At least two years of experience working as a physical therapist in a clinical setting, providing hands-on care to diverse patient populations.
• Current CPR Certification.
