Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Baylor Physical Therapy, you will:

• Direct physical therapy treatments based on individual patient evaluations, focusing on preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring functional independence.
• Oversee and mentor physical therapy assistants to guarantee proper execution of treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess patient capabilities using diagnostic assessments of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional abilities.
• Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized care plans that reflect patient progress and adapt to their evolving needs.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapies, instructing patients in non-manual techniques and functional activities.
• Utilize various modalities, including traction and massage, to enhance treatment effectiveness.
• Assess, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, providing necessary modifications in collaboration with the referring physician.
• Document all clinical interactions, including evaluations, care plans, and progress notes, while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings, providing insights and suggestions for comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Educate patients and families regarding the use and care of physical therapy devices, ensuring they feel empowered in their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits
