Position Overview

Vitality Empower Physical Therapy is actively seeking a compassionate and dedicated Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT) for a full-time position in our outpatient clinic situated in Fresno, California. In this role, you will serve as an integral member of our healthcare team, guiding patients through their rehabilitation journey to restore motion, enhance mobility, and reclaim their quality of life. You will be responsible for devising and implementing personalized treatment plans that foster optimal functionality, rehabilitation, and preventative care.

Situated in a modern 5,000-square-foot sports medicine facility, our clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment to support a variety of therapeutic interventions. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one licensed physical therapy assistant (PTA), all committed to creating a collaborative and supportive environment for both staff and patients.

Work Environment

This position is offered onsite in our outpatient office, promoting a highly interactive and engaging work atmosphere. You will work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a consistent work-life balance. Our clinic is characterized by a warm, patient-centered environment that encourages teamwork and fosters professional growth. We emphasize continuing education and support our therapists in staying current with the latest treatment methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand patients' individual goals and requirements, followed by the design and implementation of personalized treatment plans.
• Manage a patient caseload efficiently, seeing one patient per hour to ensure focused and quality care.
• Utilize proven orthopedic techniques to treat conditions aiming to reduce reliance on medications and explore alternatives to surgical procedures.
• Incorporate manual therapy and exercise protocols tailored to each patient's needs, enhancing their range of motion and mobility.
• Design holistic fitness and wellness programs to promote long-term health, addressing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes, documenting patient progress thoroughly to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and support overall wellness.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their treatment journey, encouraging adherence to prescribed therapeutic exercises and healthy lifestyle changes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice focuses on individuals with orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. We cater primarily to patients with private insurance, which allows us to emphasize personalized treatment plans without the limitations often associated with managed care. As you work closely with patients, you will be responsible for ensuring their comfort and understanding while fostering their independence and recovery.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid California state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• A clean professional record, free from board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong foundation in manual therapy techniques and the ability to develop and implement effective exercise protocols.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly valued. Familiarity with the specific challenges faced by this patient population and a proven track record of successful treatment outcomes will enhance your candidacy. Experience with community outreach or patient education initiatives will also be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
