Key Responsibilities\n

• Diagnosing mental and emotional disorders through thorough assessments, including conversations, interviews, and observations.

• Conducting individual and group counseling sessions tailored to patient needs, focusing on promoting positive mental health strategies.

• Evaluating students' emotional and behavioral issues to develop individualized treatment plans that may incorporate therapy, medication, and other supportive services.

• Setting realistic and attainable treatment goals in collaboration with students, families, and educational staff.

• Providing ongoing support and encouragement to clients, helping them navigate their emotions and life challenges.

• Facilitating discussions around students’ experiences, enhancing their coping skills and resilience.

• Working with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, psychologists, and pediatricians, to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LCSW will primarily work with students of various age groups, addressing a range of behavioral health conditions including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. By establishing a strong therapeutic rapport, you will help empower students to express their feelings, cope with life's transitions, and create positive change within their lives. This role is critical in enhancing students’ academic performance and personal development by addressing the emotional barriers to success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
