Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the mental health and substance use concerns of clients, emphasizing the presence of co-occurring disorders through thorough evaluation techniques.

• Develop and execute personalized and evidence-based treatment plans, involving clients in decision-making to foster a sense of ownership in their recovery journey.

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions designed to teach clients crucial coping mechanisms, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation skills tailored to their specific circumstances.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure an integrated approach to treatment, facilitating the best possible outcomes for clients.

• Engage in regular substance use monitoring, employing motivational interviewing skills to inspire clients and keep them motivated towards recovery goals.

• Maintain precise and timely documentation of client treatment progress, interventions, and referrals in accordance with ethical and legal standards, thereby supporting the integrity of the therapeutic process.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. These clients often face unique challenges, requiring specialized therapeutic interventions that blend psychological and substance abuse treatment methodologies. You'll work with diverse populations, adapting your approach to meet the specific cultural, social, and personal needs of each client to provide effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as a LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• Proficient in evidence-based treatment methodologies tailored specifically to co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A thorough understanding of the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders and their treatment.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Two or more years of experience working with clients presenting co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders in an outpatient setting.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, reflecting your experience and contributions to our mission.
