Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of young learners as an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher with a supportive school community near Circle Pines, MN. This contract position covers a leave from late August through December, working with a caseload of children ages 3 to 5. The schedule offers flexibility—full-time is preferred, but a qualified part-time candidate interested in mornings will be considered. There’s also potential for the assignment to extend depending on district needs.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Minnesota Teaching License with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement (required)
• Dual certification viewable on your license (required; submit as a PDF with your resume)
• Experience working with children ages 3-5 in special education settings preferred
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learning needs

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction to preschool-aged students within the special education program
• Develop and implement IEPs, adapting lessons to align with student goals and abilities
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and families to promote student growth
• Track progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state requirements
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for young learners
