Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Resource Teacher supporting students in grades K-5. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive. In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational community and help deliver individualized support and intervention to elementary students, starting in late August and continuing through the early summer.

Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education (please submit as a PDF)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) in special education settings
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and evaluation
• Excellent communication skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Organizational skills and ability to manage caseloads efficiently

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for assigned students
• Adapt lessons to provide differentiated instruction, ensuring access to the general education curriculum
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student goals
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and assessments
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that respects student differences
• Utilize behavior management strategies tailored to a diverse elementary population

This role involves working 37.5 hours per week, immersing yourself in the day-to-day experiences of young learners and advocating for their success. You’ll have the unique opportunity to be a positive force in each student’s educational journey within a supportive school setting.
