Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

In this rewarding contract role, you’ll work alongside passionate educators to foster growth and deliver specialized instruction for children aged 3-5 in a collaborative school environment. The assignment begins approximately August 31, 2026, with an anticipated end date of December 21, 2026, with the potential for extension if needed. Schedules are flexible—full-time at 37.5 hours per week or part-time mornings, depending on your availability and preference until the regular teacher’s return.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota teaching license with Early Childhood Special Education endorsement
• Dual certification as displayed on the attached license PDF
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally with early childhood populations
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to individualized instruction and inclusive practices

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support to preschool-aged children on your caseload
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to student needs
• Maintain regular communication with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Track student progress and document data according to district and state requirements
• Create and adapt engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula
• Ensure a positive, nurturing classroom climate
