Work Environment\n

This position operates in a remote setting, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a strong commitment to client care. While therapists will primarily work from home, they will regularly connect with peers and supervisors through virtual meetings, ensuring a supportive network and robust collaboration. Our outpatient office in Lakewood serves as the hub for ongoing training, professional development, and team engagement. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of client symptoms related to mood disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to create tailored treatment plans that align with their individual needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to implement treatment strategies.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care practices.

• Monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans based on progress and feedback to ensure the best possible outcomes.

• Work with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay current with the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment methodologies to enhance therapeutic practices.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines in documentation and reporting.

• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development sessions.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and contribute to reducing the stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on helping individuals struggling with mood disorders. Clients may include those experiencing severe depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and other related challenges. In addition to individual therapy, therapists may support group therapy sessions and outreach programs for vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals and victims of domestic abuse, fostering a holistic approach to mental health care.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
