Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the severity and impact of mood disorders and other related conditions in clients.

• Collaborate with clients to create customized treatment plans that align with their individual goals and cultural contexts.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), in individual and group settings.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment modalities, and effective self-care strategies to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Monitor client progress continuously and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive and integrated care across disciplines.

• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health research to employ innovative strategies in your therapeutic practice.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential records of all counseling sessions, assessments, and treatment recommendations in compliance with ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in regular team meetings and consultations to share insights and enhance collective knowledge within the organization.

• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and work towards reducing the stigma associated with mood disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder. You will have the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, tailoring your approach to meet their unique cultural and psychosocial needs, and fostering an environment of trust and respect.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in the state of New York as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• Proficient in delivering evidence-based treatments, especially CBT and DBT, with a strong understanding of mood disorders.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to foster rapport and trust with clients while engaging them in their treatment.

• A commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality at all levels within the treatment process.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in an outpatient mental health setting, particularly with clients experiencing complex mood disorders.

• Familiarity with electronic health records and telehealth platforms for efficient client management.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
