This position offers a remote work setting, allowing for flexible scheduling while being part of a dynamic outpatient facility. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individualized in-home therapy sessions as well as group therapy in our outpatient center, tailoring approaches to meet the specific needs of each child and family.

• Implement therapeutic strategies to improve anger management, social skills, and coping mechanisms, while working to reduce high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behaviors and physical aggression.

• Engage with families to enhance decision-making skills and address behavioral challenges experienced at home.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a unified approach.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and other required paperwork, adhering to designated timelines.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing thoughtful recommendations and insights to improve service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our therapeutic services primarily cater to children and adolescents aged 3-20 with developmental disabilities and intellectual disabilities (I/DD). The diversity of our client population means that therapists will encounter varied scenarios, further enhancing their skills in inclusive and adaptive therapeutic practices. Therapists will play an instrumental role in fostering emotional resilience among children grappling with unique challenges.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• A current, active, and unrestricted LMFT license to practice in Florida.
\n
• Availability to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during designated after-school hours of 4-7 PM, with weekend availability being advantageous.

• Experience in providing positive behavioral support is essential.
\n
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for potential in-home visits.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, to ensure the safety of our clients.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including familiarity with their unique behavioral needs.

• Experience utilizing therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) in practice.

• Bilingual capabilities in Spanish or Portuguese significantly enhance communication with a broader patient demographic.

Compensation and Benefits\n
