This remote position allows clinicians the flexibility to maintain a healthy work-life balance while contributing to the vital mission of supporting veterans and their families. Clinicians can manage their own caseloads, typically ranging from 10 to 30 billable hours a week, providing the autonomy to create a schedule that aligns with their personal and professional needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess the mental health needs of clients, utilizing the latest Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) under appropriate supervision.

• Provide short-term psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups, delivering interventions for a variety of mental health disorders.
\n
• Engage in crisis intervention strategies and offer brief therapy sessions that focus on immediate needs and coping skills.
\n
• Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care.

• Maintain accurate and complete clinical records, documenting therapy sessions and communicating with relevant parties, such as social agencies or educational institutions, as required by client consent.

• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss complex cases, share insights, and collaborate on care strategies, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities and stay abreast of current practices and research in the mental health field.

• Provide community outreach and education on mental health issues, emphasizing the importance of access to care for veterans and their families.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary client focus will be on veterans, their families, and individuals facing mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and dual disorders. Clinicians will adopt culturally competent approaches to understand the trauma and unique experiences of these clients, ensuring that care is respectful, empathetic, and effective.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or a Psy.D.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work from an accredited institution is required.

• A minimum of two (2) years of post-licensure experience in providing psychotherapy services.
\n
• Proficient in using telehealth platforms and electronic health records, demonstrating a strong capability for virtual client interactions.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working with veteran populations or individuals with trauma backgrounds is highly desirable.

• Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based treatment interventions specific to family therapy and substance use disorders.

• Background in crisis intervention and conflict resolution strategies.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
