Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individualized therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, utilizing evidence-based practices.

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of clients' mental health, understanding their backgrounds and creating actionable treatment plans.

• Employ various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.

• Document clinical records accurately and comply with ethical and legal standards associated with mental health care.

• Collaborate with other therapists and healthcare staff to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients, participating in case discussions and team meetings.

• Stay abreast of the latest mental health research and developments by attending workshops and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Walden, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, families, and groups facing various mental health issues. This includes, but is not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, trauma, and substance use disorders. Your role will be pivotal in guiding these clients towards healthier lives through effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.

• Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting is essential.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience, alongside performance-based bonuses.
