Senior Property Accountant

Seeking a Senior Property Accountant to manage the financial reporting and accounting for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets. This role is responsible for month-end close, reconciliations, financial analysis, budgeting support, and cash management while partnering with property management and operations. Responsibilities Manage month-end close, journal entries, and general ledger activity. Prepare bank reconciliations, accruals, prepaid schedules, and fixed asset accounting. Maintain financial reporting packages and variance analyses. Track capital projects, cash activity, and construction-related costs. Assist with budgets, forecasts, and cash flow reporting. Prepare audit schedules and lender/ownership reporting. Review lease-related billings and expense recoveries. Partner with property management to resolve accounting issues. Support process improvements and mentor junior team members. Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of property or real estate accounting experience. Experience with ERP/property accounting systems (Yardi, MRI, or similar preferred). Strong Excel skills and understanding of GAAP. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
