Work Environment

The role is primarily onsite within clients' homes across the Bonita Springs area. This setting allows therapists to create customized rehabilitation plans tailored to each client's unique home environment and personal capabilities. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and implement individual physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing muscle function.
• Supervise physical therapy assistants, ensuring they carry out treatment plans effectively.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' functional levels using various diagnostic tests to inform treatment strategies.
• Assess clients' home environments to make informed recommendations that promote independence in daily activities.
• Deliver physical therapy services as prescribed by referring physicians, carefully following the established care plans.
• Administer therapeutic exercises manually and provide guidance, motivation, and assistance in non-manual exercises and daily functional activities.
• Utilize techniques such as traction and massage therapy while applying physical agents in treatments.
• Evaluate, fit, and make recommendations regarding prosthetic and orthotic devices in collaboration with physicians.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings to contribute to comprehensive care planning and development.
• Maintain clinical documentation, including initial assessments, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, to ensure compliance and quality of care.
• Effectively communicate with clients and families regarding the use and maintenance of therapy devices, as well as guide them through their overall physical therapy regimen.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of clinical and payroll documentation in adherence to company policies.
• Execute evaluations and functional assessments onsite, regularly updating care plans based on observed client needs.
• Be readily accessible for consultation and support to the physical therapy assistant team.

In this role, you will primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries and injuries, individuals with chronic pain issues, and clients in need of rehabilitation from illness or injury. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with an emphasis on orthopedic care and home health.
• Current state licensure, or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to develop rapport and establish trust with clients in a home environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a home health care setting.
