Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to capture patients' histories, strengths, and needs, enabling effective treatment planning.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, integrating interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, build coping strategies, and foster personal growth.
\n
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and a multi-disciplinary team to provide integrated mental health care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s well-being are considered and addressed.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring that patients receive the support they need to manage acute situations effectively.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and the resources available within and outside our clinic.
\n
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring compliance with pertinent regulations.
\n
• Engage in case consultations and team meetings, contributing to a culture of feedback and improvement within our team.
\n
• Stay updated with the latest research, best practices, and emerging treatment modalities in trauma therapy to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will focus on helping individuals affected by trauma, including those experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. By leveraging your expertise, you will have the opportunity to make meaningful changes in the lives of vulnerable populations, guiding them towards recovery and emotional resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Must possess current and valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in Florida.
\n
• Demonstrated understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities is essential.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards clients and their families.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a variety of computer applications is a plus.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, ideally with a focus on trauma recovery.

• Proven track record of applying trauma-focused therapies and interventions in clinical practice.

• Experience in crisis intervention and a strong ability to remain calm under pressure while supporting clients in distress.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
