Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of clients through telehealth platforms.

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on each client's unique mental health needs, focusing on evidence-based practice.

• Engage with clients through regular virtual sessions to provide therapeutic support, skill-building, and coping mechanisms.

• Utilize crisis intervention techniques to address urgent client needs and ensure their safety during challenging situations.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients, including making appropriate referrals as necessary.

• Document all interactions and treatment plans accurately in the EHR system to maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facilitate continuity of care.

• Participate in regular case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and strategies for effective therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at A Step Ahead Counseling Center, you will primarily work with a diverse clientele facing a variety of mental health conditions. This includes individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, trauma, eating disorders, and other complex emotional issues. We emphasize a culturally responsive approach, ensuring that your therapeutic methods resonate with clients from different backgrounds, fostering trust and engagement.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.

• A minimum of four years of experience in a clinical mental health setting, demonstrating a broad understanding of diverse mental health issues.

• Proven skills in individual and group therapy, with a strong emphasis on cultural competency and inclusivity.

Compensation and Benefits\n
